The companion drawing activity
Give your class 20 minutes and some textas. Ask them to draw their favourite animal, creature, or imaginary friend. That drawing becomes their companion character — painted by AI into a fully illustrated version that appears on every page alongside them throughout the story.
The original drawing is preserved as a keepsake page at the back of the book. Two things in one: a professional illustrated storybook, and a permanent record of something they made themselves.
Works from Prep/Kindy through to Year 4. One class drawing can be shared across the whole group, or each child can draw their own individual companion.

Fill in the student template
We send you a simple spreadsheet — one row per child with appearance, name, hometown, friend names, and story type. Dropdowns make it fast. Most teachers complete it in under 30 minutes for a full class.
Upload via your personal portal
You get a unique upload link. Drop in the completed spreadsheet and photos of any companion drawings. We match everything automatically.
Approve PDF proofs
We generate every book and send you PDF proofs to review. One round of changes included. You approve, we go to print.
Books arrive at your school
Printed and shipped within 5–7 business days of approval. Bulk shipment to your school address. Each book is individually labelled with the child’s name for easy distribution.
